Homecoming was a successful night for the Warriors!  JV girls played a half game beginning at 5:30.  They beat Exeter 13-8.  The JV boys followed with a half game and came away with a win, beating Exeter.  Varsity boys played next and were also successful.  The boys beat Exeter 73-50.  Jake Doyle was back in the lineup after sitting out against Wheaton on Tuesday night from an ankle injury.  Jake scored 26 points to lead the Warriors and Kyle Glover added 19.  Nathan Taylor had 8 assists.  Following the boys varsity game, homecoming ceremonies took place.  The homecoming court was freshman attendant Carmen Colson, sophomore attendant Emma Yabut, junior attendant Sydney Martinez, and the queen attendants were Rachel Hardy, Dorothy Ostmeyer and Claire Colson.  Claire was named 2018 McAuley basketball homecoming queen.   There were several members of the McAuley alumni in attendance including basketball players from the class of 1965.  After the homecoming festivities, the varsity girls took the court to face Exeter.  The girls had a slow start and headed into half time trailing the Tigers 28-21.  After a good halftime pep talk, the girls attacked the court for the second half and never looked back.  The ladies beat Exeter in a thrilling game, 50-39.  Leading scorers were Abby Schiefelbin with 11, Taylor Schiefelbein and Courtney Bates each had 10 and Becca Freitas added 9.  The Lady Warriors play tonight in the Warrior Classic.  They will face Diamond in the opening game of the tournament at 5:00 pm.  The varsity boys will play Tuesday night at 8:00 pm against Thomas Jefferson.
